My husband’s family have farmed Greymare since 1950. Six children, ponies, dogs, chicken houses, sheep and cattle followed, and it was a very busy happy place!
I was imported from Hampshire as a wife in 1985! Predominantly grass farm of 395 acres, we now look after neighbours’ sheep and cattle from April to November. It is a very special place to live, with views of the Northumbrian coastline below us and we are thankful every day that we can call it home, and are delighted to be able to share part of it with you!,
Our son Ben lives in a cottage on the farm, and our daughter lives in north New South Wales, in rural Australia, where she married a farmer and has two small sons. We get together whenever we can and Whatsapp is a life saver for us all!
